I'm an integrative psychotherapist with 7 years experience in the NHS and in private practice and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I draw on different approaches, though mainly I work in an embodied and relational way. Embodied as most of our life stories are stored in our bodies and it's very important to work with the body in order to have more lasting results. Relational as the therapeutic relationship is where most of the healing happens. I also use creative methods, such as movement, images, story or metaphors if talking doesn't feel enough.
I work in a collaborative and non pathologising way so I won't try to fix you or treat you like you're broken. I have worked extensively with people struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, big life transitions, difficulty relating with their bodies, and challenged by relating with others. I also have a special interest in working with bicultural people and those with experience of migration and am mindful of the social and cultural issues that affect our individual difficulties
Whatever the issue you're struggling with or want to work on, I believe and have witnessed many times that challenges are also invitations to live a more full and authentic life and that therapy can help you make the necessary changes to feel more alive, content and at peace.
