How Counselling Can Help

Specialist Training
I am experienced in working with many different types of trauma, including historical, physical, emotional, domestic and sexual abuse. My specialist training will ensure your safety and stability as we work together to make sense of it all at your own pace.
Experience
I have worked within several counselling services which have given me broad experience in working with a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety and low-self esteem. I have experience working with personality disorders including BPD, and neurodiversity including ADHD, autism and dyspraxia. I can adapt my way of working to best fit each person as they are.
I also am experienced in working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse and being able to work to ensure safety and stability is at the core of my work.
My experience working within the NHS as a health coach and using art therapeutically has given me a broad view of ways we can improve our mental health alongside talk therapy. Our physical and mental health are interconnected and we can, should you wish to, look at practical, yet gentle lifestyle improvements, which will help improve your mental health. Therapy is a collaborative process between us and I can work according to your needs.
